🚀 We’re Hiring! Project Assistant – Heartland Acoustics & Interiors

Heartland Acoustics & Interiors is a leading provider of specialty construction services — known for our commitment to quality, innovation, and collaboration.

We’re looking for a Project Assistant to join our team! In this role, you’ll support project management activities and help ensure the successful planning, organization, and execution of installation projects. This is a great opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals in a dynamic, team-oriented environment, while also having the independence to make a real impact.

What You’ll Do:
  • Collaborate with Estimators and Project Managers to understand new project awards, scope, and value
  • Assist in preparing budgets, proposals, SOVs, change orders, and RFIs
  • Track submittals, shop drawings, project closeout docs, and Certificates of Insurance
  • Prepare weekly job budget reports and support project financial tracking
  • Support Field Superintendents in tracking materials and production
  • Make decisions that align with company goals and values
What You Bring:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (college degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business a plus!)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills — verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Understanding of commercial construction terms (RFI, ASI, CO)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Bonus: Experience in ceilings, drywall, flooring, or specialty trades, and familiarity with On Center On‑Screen Takeoff software
