Job summary

AOS is seeking an Architect to join collaborative teams supporting project design and documentation from inception to completion. You will own tasks, manage deadlines with independence, and coordinate with teams, consultants, clients and contractors.

Responsibilities include developing concepts, producing drawings and presentations, coordinating stakeholder meetings, and supporting construction documents and administration through all phases.

Qualifications

  • Professional degree in Architecture required.
  • Strong design and graphic communication skills.
  • 4–8 years of architecture practice experience.
  • Proj ect management and coordination experience.

  • Coordinate stakeholder meetings and discussions as needed.
  • Coordinate with consultants and contractors.
  • Develop and coordinate drawings through schematic design to construction documentation.

  • Resolve design, technical and coordination issues as projects progress.
  • Participate in construction administration including site visits and submittal reviews.

Job description

The Position

Architects at AOS work in collaborative teams to support project design and documentation tasks. Staff typically join a project at its inception and remain an active part of the team through its completion. This position requires the ability to take ownership of assigned work, manage tasks and deadlines with a high degree of independence, and coordinate effectively with project teams, consultants, clients and contractors.

Your tasks may include:
  • Working with the project team to develop design concepts
  • Development of drawings, renderings and presentations to communicate design ideas to stakeholders
  • Participation in, and as appropriate, coordination of stakeholder meetings and discussions
  • Participation in consultant coordination
  • Development and coordination of drawings during all project phases: schematic design, design development, and construction documentation
  • Managing assigned project tasks, schedules and deliverables
  • Identifying and helping resolve design, technical and coordination issues as projects progress
  • Participation in construction administration, including coordination with contractors, review of submittals and RFIs, and site visits as appropriate
Required Qualifications

Ideal candidates will be curious, self‑motivated, proactive, and collaborative and will possess strong organizational and communication skills. Candidates should be comfortable working independently within a collaborative team environment and taking responsibility for the development and coordination of their work. Specific qualifications should include:

  • Professional degree in Architecture
  • Strong design, rendering and graphic skills
  • 4-8 years of experience practicing architecture
  • Project management and coordination experience
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Bluebeam
