Project Architect/Project Lead/Senior Job Captain - DSA | Education

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Architect or Project Lead to oversee and manage educational architecture projects under the Division of the State Architect (DSA) guidelines. The ideal candidate will lead project teams, ensuring compliance with DSA regulations while delivering innovative and sustainable architectural solutions for educational institutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage architectural projects from conceptual design through completion, ensuring adherence to DSA standards.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to define project objectives and deliverables.
• Prepare and review architectural drawings, specifications, and documentation using Revit and BIM technologies.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and DSA requirements.
• Mentor and guide junior staff and job captains in architectural best practices and project management techniques.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate architectural designs with structural, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively to meet deadlines and client expectations.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Licensed Architect (AIA) with active NCARB certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design and project management, specifically in educational projects.
• Proficiency in Revit and BIM software; experience as a BIM Manager is a plus.
• Strong understanding of DSA regulations and processes related to educational facilities.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage teams and client relationships.
