MARKALUNAS ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN, LLC in Greenville, SC is seeking a Project Architect with a passion for exceptional residential design. The role focuses on executing detailed home designs from concept through construction documents and coordinating with interior design and consultants.

Candidates should have a degree in architecture, 5+ years of residential design experience, and ideally licensure or progress toward licensure.

Qualifications

• Degree in architecture or related discipline.
• 5+ years of residential design experience.
• Licensure or track to licensure welcomed.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD in a residential setting.
• Strong understanding of residential construction means, methods, and materials.
• Proficiency with rendering software.
• Visualization, hand drawing, and sketching ability.

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts through construction documents.
• Develop presentation materials and standards.
• Produce detailed documents for client review and design review board submission.
• Coordinate documentation with interior design details and specifications.
• Design and produce detailed, complete, and coordinated construction documents.
• Establish schedules and deliverables for each design stage; coordinate with consultants, contractors, interior design team, and suppliers.
• Assist in construction oversight, respond to contractors, communicate with clients, and monitor progress on site.

This position will entail multiple aspects associated with the execution of detailed home designs and is best suited for thosedesiringto create inspiring work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop design concepts thru construction documents
• Develop presentation materials and standards
• Producedetailed documents for client review, and for design review board submission at various stages of the design process
• Coordinateassociated documentation with interior design details and specifications
• Design and produce detailed, complete, and coordinated construction documents

CLIENT AND PROJECT COLLABORATION:

• Exceptional communication and follow-up
• Focused attention to projects and ability to work in multiple roles on each home design while coordinating those efforts with the client and other members of the project team.

PROJECT MANAGMENT:

• Establish schedules and deliverables associated with each stage of the project
• Coordinate efforts with the various team members working on the project (including consultants, contractors, interior design team, and various suppliers).
• Assist in varying degrees with the support of the project during construction (including responding to contractors, communicating with the client, overseeing project progress on site)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:

• Degree in architecture, or a related discipline
• 5+years’ experience in residential design and project fulfillment
• Licensure or track to licensure is welcomed
• Competency and thorough understanding of ACAD software in a residential architecture setting
• A firm grasp of residential construction means, methods, and materials
• Proficiency with applicable rendering software
• Visualization, hand drawing, and sketching ability is appreciated
• Positive attitude, reliable, detail oriented, focused, diligent, and collaborative.
