Job summary

NYWDS is seeking a Project Architect to contribute to design, documentation, and coordination for multi-family residential projects from schematic design through construction documents.

You will develop schematic/design development documents, coordinate with consultants, and produce construction document sets in AutoCAD, while participating in team meetings and progressing through all project phases.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of full-time professional experience from a NYC architecture firm.
• Degree in architecture: BArch or MArch from an accredited school.
• Ability to work independently on all design phases.
• Knowledge of construction methods and multi-family materials.
• Knowledge of NYC zoning and building code.

Responsibilities

Architectural firm specializing in multi-family residential buildings, mixed use, is seeking a talented, and self-motivated individual to join this team.

The position involves contributing to the design, document coordination and management of projects from Schematic Design through Construction documents.

Responsibilities:

• Involvement in multiple projects at all project phases.
• Develop aspects of schematic and design development documents and manage coordination with project consultants.
• Produce construction documentation sets and details in AutoCAD.
• Participate in team meetings.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of full-time professional experience from a NYC architecture firm.
• BArch or MArch from an accredited school.
• Ability to work independently on all design phases.
• Knowledge of construction methods and materials related to multi-family is a plus.
• Knowledge of NYC zoning and building code
• Highly proficient with AutoCAD, Rhino, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, MS Word, and MS Excel.
• Strong graphic, written and verbal communication skills.
