Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Project Architect to support design from programming through construction administration in Columbia, SC and Savannah, GA. You will lead design development, coordinate with clients, consultants, and builders, and guide multi-disciplinary teams to deliver functional, well-documented projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of architecture experience, strong knowledge of building technology and codes, and Revit proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Architecture.
• Five (5) or more years related practical experience.
• Proficiency with Revit and Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• A solid understanding of building technology fundamentals and working knowledge of applicable codes, architectural processes, and industry standards.
• Strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize and execute work across competing demands.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, careful attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate work and communicate technical requirements effectively.
• A collaborative mindset and demonstrated cultural awareness and sensitivity.
• Ability to travel locally and regionally for site visits, client meetings, and construction administration as project requirements dictate.
• A valid driver's license. May be waived for international assignments.
• Professional architectural licensure is preferred.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite; experience with Autodesk Forma and Bluebeam PDF Revu & Studio is valued.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate architectural work from programming through construction administration.
• Develop design drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants, contractors, clients, and other disciplines.
• Oversee drafting and documentation for coordination and conformance with project requirements.
• Participate in project planning, design-team budgets, schedules, and client communications.
