Job summary

Actalent is seeking an experienced Project Architect to lead the design and delivery of impactful projects across various sectors. This is a permanent, fully onsite position in Salt Lake City, UT, with comprehensive benefits and a standard Monday through Friday schedule with alternate Fridays off.

Job Title: Project Architect

We are seeking an experienced Project Architect to lead the design and delivery of impactful projects across a range of sectors. This role is ideal for a design- and technically-strong leader who enjoys guiding teams, shaping project vision, and contributing to a collaborative, studio-driven environment. This position offers a high level of autonomy, the opportunity to mentor staff, and the ability to influence design quality and technical best practices across projects. Experience in civic and/or historic projects is highly valued.

Responsibilities
  • Lead design vision, technical direction, and documentation for complex architectural projects.
  • Mentor and guide interdisciplinary project teams.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal team members to align design intent and execution.
  • Oversee quality, consistency, and performance from concept through construction.
  • Represent projects in client presentations, stakeholder meetings, and design discussions.
  • Contribute to broader design and technical initiatives across the organization.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in Revit.
  • Experience in architectural design, construction administration, design development, schematic design, and construction documentation.
  • 10+ years of professional architectural experience.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Licensure preferred.
  • Familiarity with additional design/BIM tools such as SketchUp is a plus.
  • Experience across multiple project types; civic and/or historic project experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, mentor staff, and manage complex project scopes.
Work Environment

Standard Monday through Friday schedule with a 9/80 work schedule, allowing every other Friday off adjusted to align with holidays for long weekends. The work environment promotes a collaborative, design-focused culture with strong mentorship and growth opportunities.

Pay and Benefits
