Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Licensed Architect to join their Largo, Florida office. This individual will play a key role in leading architectural projects focused primarily on senior living, skilled nursing, and healthcare facilities while providing guidance and mentorship to junior architects and design staff.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced architect looking to expand their leadership responsibilities within a highly respected and growing firm.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and production of senior living, skilled nursing, and healthcare projects from concept through construction documentation.
  • Oversee and mentor junior architects and architectural staff, providing technical guidance and project direction.
  • Coordinate project schedules, design development, and construction documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, regulatory requirements, and healthcare facility standards, including ACHA requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal project teams and clients to deliver high-quality architectural solutions.
  • Produce and review drawings utilizing AutoCAD while maintaining project quality and accuracy.
  • Support project coordination through all phases of design and construction.
Qualifications
  • Licensed Architect required.
  • 5–15+ years of architectural experience.
  • Previous experience designing skilled nursing, nursing home, senior living, or healthcare facilities is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with ACHA regulations is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to mentor developing architectural professionals while managing multiple priorities.
