Interested candidate should have the following qualifications:

  • Accredited professional degree in architecture
  • 5-15 years post-graduate, full-time working experience in an architectural firm
  • Licensed Architect in the U.S.
  • Multi-family residential project experience preferred
  • Capable of performing all construction phase activities including review of shop drawings, responding to Contractor questions (RFI’s), conducting site visits and participating in BIM coordination meetings
  • Working knowledge of, and demonstrated experience with, local zoning ordinances and building codes
  • Display technical knowledge of building systems, material assemblies, and engineering concepts
  • Ability to lead a project including consultants and internal staff
  • Proficient in Revit, Bluebeam, Newforma and Excel; familiarity with software programs such as Enscape, SketchUp, Rhino, Affinity and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Implement project design philosophy and work toward the successful execution of the project through design and construction phases
  • Lead team meetings and client presentations, working closely with multidisciplinary teams
  • Mentor and train junior staff in a constructive and thoughtful manner
  • Organize the work efforts of SCB’s project team on a day-to-day basis and function as the primary facilitator of communication between the in-house team and external consultants
  • Research and promote opportunities for new or innovative system applications; proactively look for and implement processes to improve work product and efficiency.
