Job description

Expected salary range: $100,000 - $140,000

About oWOW

oWOW is a vertically integrated real estate development platform headquartered in Oakland. We accelerate housing abundance by integrating design, manufacturing, and construction into a scalable, repeatable system.

Through mass timber, prefabricated façade systems, and componentized construction, we deliver high-quality multifamily housing at materially lower cost and compressed schedules compared to conventional delivery methods.

Our goal is to deliver 2,000+ units annually by 2026 through a production-based model.

About Inflection

Inflection is the architecture arm of oWOW, built to deliver projects better, faster and more efficiently by acting as a platform, not a traditional production architect.

Each project is paired with external Architects of Record (AORs) and Engineers of Record (EORs) who bring local jurisdiction expertise. They own design decisions and QA/QC, while Inflection's BIM production teams handle documentation, ensuring projects are planned and coordinated efficiently from day one.

All teams work through the Inflection Platform, a shared environment that standardizes apartment units, prefabricated components, and offers design and technical automation tools to accelerate execution.

Our Vision: Offer a drastically different way to execute projects and to become the #1 player in the nation delivering housing through standardized products and systems.

Our mission: Empower AOR's, EOR's and Production teams to do their best work, as a team, at a fraction of the time and cost for our customers.

The Role

The Project Architect will lead multifamily housing projects from concept through construction. You represent Inflection in every project, coordinate with AORs, EORs and our production team to ensure that projects are successfully delivered with high quality and in agreed timeframes.

The ideal candidate blends strong technical expertise with design sensibility, and thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

If you’re tired of developing projects the “same old way”, this could be for you.

What You’ll Do

Project Leadership: Successfully manages teams of external AORs and EORs on multiple affordable multifamily housing projects from conceptual design through construction documentation. Collaborate with oWOW’s internal construction and development teams.

Technical Excellence: Achieve permit-ready and construction-ready drawing sets with no critical coordination gaps identified during reviews.

Schedule: Maintain project schedules within ±5% of baseline milestones across all assigned projects.

Budget: Deliver all assigned projects within ±5% of internal budgeted design hours, with proactive coordination to prevent scope creep and rework.

Team management: Oversee success of the Production Team, and help improve Inflection Platform’s workflows and aid the continuous innovation of our design-build processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture; licensure in California preferred.

7+ years of architectural experience, ideally on multifamily housing projects or similar project types like hospitality and healthcare.

Excellent knowledge of building codes, construction types (III, IV, V), and technical detailing.

Proficient in Revit and collaborative design tools.

Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate effectively across disciplines.

Able to thrive in a fast paced environment.

Core Values

oWOW: Produce outstanding results that surprise and amaze people

Ownership: Understand what you are accountable for & take responsibility for your results.

Curiosity: Challenge conventional thinking & explore creative solutions.

Teamwork: The combination of trust, communication & collaboration
