Job description

We are seeking an experienced Project Architect with healthcare experience to join a collaborative, design-focused multi-office/expanding architecture firm. This is an excellent opportunity for an architect who combines strong technical expertise with a passion for delivering thoughtful, high-quality environments that positively impact patients, providers, and communities.

About the Role

The ideal candidate is a confident, technically minded architect who can take projects from design development through construction, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure that design intent is translated into a well-resolved, buildable project. If you thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy solving complex technical challenges, and want to play a meaningful role in the delivery of healthcare projects, we would like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the development and coordination of architectural design and technical documentation
  • Producing and overseeing construction documents using Revit
  • Interpreting and applying building codes, accessibility standards, and zoning requirements
  • Coordinating architectural work with structural, MEP, and other consultants
  • Managing technical aspects of projects through multiple phases of design and construction
  • Participating in and supporting construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and site-related issues
  • Identifying and resolving technical and coordination challenges before they impact project delivery
  • Collaborating closely with project architects, designers, project managers, consultants, and clients
  • Supporting project schedules, quality control, and overall delivery standards
  • Helping mentor and develop junior staff
  • Contributing to proposals, presentations, and other business development initiatives as appropriate
  • Helping maintain design integrity and quality from initial concept through construction

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional architecture experience
  • Demonstrated experience with healthcare projects and/or healthcare interiors
  • Strong proficiency in Revit
  • Solid understanding of architectural detailing, documentation, and construction
  • Experience developing and coordinating comprehensive drawing sets
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, and zoning regulations
  • Experience coordinating with consultants and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to take ownership of project responsibilities while working collaboratively with project leadership
  • A proactive mindset and commitment to quality
  • Interest in mentoring and supporting junior team members

You’re more than someone who can produce a drawing set. You’re an architect who understands how buildings go together, knows how to navigate the technical complexities of healthcare projects, and takes pride in delivering work that is both architecturally thoughtful and technically rigorous. You are comfortable taking ownership, coordinating with consultants, identifying problems early, and working collaboratively to find solutions. You bring a high level of technical proficiency but also understand that successful projects depend on communication, teamwork, and attention to detail.

If you’re ready for a role where your healthcare expertise, technical knowledge, and leadership abilities can make a meaningful impact, we’d like to connect with you. Our client remains in significant growth mode and the healthcare sector is a key part of this greater vision of expansion throughout their office locations.

This role offers the opportunity to become an integral part of a collaborative architecture team working on meaningful healthcare projects. You will have the opportunity to contribute your technical expertise while working alongside talented architects and designers on projects that require thoughtful design, rigorous coordination, and strong project delivery.

The firm values collaboration, professional growth, innovation, and individual contribution. It offers an environment where experienced architects can take ownership of their work, continue developing their expertise, and contribute to the growth of those around them.
