Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Studies.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional architectural experience.
  • Experience in residential design and/or wood-frame construction detailing preferred.
  • Proficiency in CAD/BIM software; Archicad experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Experience navigating building codes, zoning requirements, and municipal approvals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects through all design and delivery phases from programming to construction administration.
  • Develop creative design solutions aligned with client goals and project requirements.
  • Build and maintain client and vendor relationships and cultivate referrals.
  • Manage client expectations from initial consultation to project completion.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and consultants to reflect client vision and site specifics.
  • Coordinate structural, mechanical, electrical, lighting, and site consultants.
  • Conduct code research and document existing conditions.
  • Manage product selections, specifications, and construction docs.
  • Supervise small project teams and foster a collaborative studio culture.
  • Partner with Interior Design team to create cohesive integrated designs.

Deep River Partners, Ltd., an award-winning residential architecture and interior design firm, is seeking a talented and motivated Project Architect to join our growing team. This position offers significant project leadership responsibilities, direct client engagement, and playing a key role in the design and execution of exceptional residential projects within a highly collaborative studio environment.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced architect to advance professionally while contributing to a diverse portfolio of projects that blend creativity, craftsmanship, and exceptional client service. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop creative, collaborative design solutions that respond to client goals and project requirements.
