About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Architect II who is ready to take on greater leadership within projects, contribute to design development, and play a key role in technical execution. This position is ideal for mid-career professionals with 5-12 years of experience who are looking to deepen their expertise, mentor junior staff, and lead aspects of project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take a leading role in project design, technical development, and documentation from concept through construction
  • Coordinate and oversee the preparation of construction drawings, specifications, and technical details
  • Serve as a key contact for clients, consultants, and project teams, ensuring seamless collaboration
  • Provide technical guidance and mentor junior designers and architects
  • Lead code analysis and compliance reviews, ensuring high standards in all project phases
  • Manage project schedules, deliverables, and quality control efforts
  • Represent FGMA in client presentations, industry events, and networking opportunities
  • Engage in continuous improvement efforts, contributing to firm-wide best practices and standards

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5-12 years of experience in an architectural firm, with increasing project responsibilities
  • Professional degree in architecture from an accredited program
  • Proven experience with project coordination, consultant management, and technical documentation
  • Expertise in Revit Architecture, with strong experience in construction documentation
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to design challenges
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities
  • Effective team leadership, mentorship, and communication skills
  • Experience working on municipal projects preferred
  • LEED accreditation (preferred)
  • Architectural licensure or active pursuit of licensure (strongly preferred)
