Job summary

A leading architecture and planning firm in Los Angeles is seeking a talented Project Architect with 5–8 years of experience. This role involves contributing to various design-driven projects, engaging in the entire design process, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Ideal candidates will have an accredited degree in Architecture, extensive experience with architectural design software, and strong communication skills. We offer comprehensive employee benefits, but note that remote work is not offered for this position.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of continuous professional post-graduate working experience.
  • Experience with multifamily and mixed-use projects; office experience is a plus.
  • Licensure or active progress toward licensure (ARE) with the expectation of completion within two years.
  • Ability to use 3D modeling software, including Rhino.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project and Bluebeam Revu.
  • Experience in all project phases and construction documentation.
  • Experience with multifamily and mixed-use projects; office experience is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of architectural design and documentation processes.
  • Contribute to design development and coordination of design intent through documentation.
  • Develop and produce construction documents and detail sketches.
  • Support and mentor junior team members.
  • Implement and coordinate redline revisions with the project team.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with project consultants.
  • Analyze and prepare program, space planning and area calculations.
  • Work independently and with the team to meet budgetary and schedule goals.
  • Participate in regular project team, client and contractor meetings.
  • Communicate with the designated Project Manager; supervise junior staff as needed.
  • Construction Administration experience preferred but not required.

Arquitectonica is an internationally recognized, design-focused architecture and planning firm with a global practice of more than four hundred professionals across eleven offices. Our Los Angeles studio is seeking a talented Project Architect with 5–8 years of experience to join our growing team. Our work includes luxury residential, office, hospitality, and mixed‑use developments across diverse urban contexts.

What We Are Looking For:

As a Project Architect at Arquitectonica, you will contribute to a range of design‑driven projects and play an active role throughout the design, documentation, and construction process. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team and external consultants while helping advance projects from concept through completion. This role offers the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility while contributing to a globally recognized design practice.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of architectural design and documentation processes across all project phases.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Professional accredited degree in Architecture
  • 5+ years’ continuous professionalpost-graduateworking experience
  • Technical experience using Revit and BIM360.
  • Ability to use 3D modeling software, including Rhino
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project and Bluebeam Revu
  • Experience in all phases and aspects of a project
  • Experience in detailing and construction documentation
  • Experience with multifamily and mixed‑use projects; office experience is a plus
  • Excellentverbal and written communication skills in Englishare required tointeract with clients and team members
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, and a collaborative professional work ethic
