Job summary

Arquitectonica is seeking a Project Architect with 5–8 years of experience for our Los Angeles studio. You will contribute to design-driven projects from concept through construction, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and external consultants.

You will develop construction documents, coordinate design intent, and support senior staff while mentoring junior team members. Remote work is not offered; relocation assistance is not provided.

Qualifications

• Professional accredited degree in Architecture.
• 5+ years of continuous professional post-graduate working experience.
• Experience in all project phases and construction documentation.
• Licensure or progress toward licensure (ARE) expected within two years.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding of architectural design and documentation across all project phases.
• Contribute to design development and coordination of design intent through documentation.
• Develop and coordinate presentation and documentation materials.
• Develop and produce construction documents and detail sketches.
• Coordinate redline revisions with the project team and consultants.
• Collaborate with project consultants and analyze space planning and area calculations.
• Meet project budgetary and schedule goals; participate in team and client meetings.

Arquitectonica is an internationally recognized, design-focused architecture and planning firm with a global practice of more than four hundred professionals across eleven offices. Our Los Angeles studio is seeking a talented Project Architect with 5–8 years of experience to join our growing team. Our work includes luxury residential, office, hospitality, and mixed-use developments across diverse urban contexts.

What We Are Looking For:

As a Project Architect at Arquitectonica, you will contribute to a range of design-driven projects and play an active role throughout the design, documentation, and construction process. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team and external consultants while helping advance projects from concept through completion. This role offers the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility while contributing to a globally recognized design practice.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of architectural design and documentation processes across all project phases.
• Contribute to design development and coordination of design intent through documentation
• Develop, prepare and coordinate presentation and documentation materials
• Develop and produce construction documents and detail sketches
• Implement and coordinate redline revisions with the project team
• Collaborate and coordinate with project consultants
• Analyze and prepare program, space planning and area calculations
• Work both independently and collaboratively to meet project budgetary and schedule goals
• Participation in regular project team, client and contractor meetings
• Regular communication with the designated Project Manager
• Construction Administration experience and capabilities preferred but not required
• Support and mentor junior team members while contributing to a collaborative studio environment

Minimum Requirements:

• Professional accredited degree in Architecture
• 5+ years’ continuous professionalpost-graduateworking experience
• Technical experience using Revit and BIM360.
• Ability to use 3D modeling software, including Rhino
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project and Bluebeam Revu
• Experience in all phases and aspects of a project
• Experience in detailing and construction documentation
• Experience with multifamily and mixed-use projects; office experience is a plus
• Excellentverbal and written communication skills in Englishare required tointeract with clients and team members
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a collaborative professional work ethic
• Licensure oractive progress toward licensure (ARE)with the expectation of completion within twoyears
