Job summary

DeOld Andersen Architecture seeks a full-time architect with 3–6 years of professional experience. Based in Omaha, Nebraska, the firm handles commercial, residential, and institutional projects and emphasizes collaborative, hard-working, nimble studio culture.

The ideal candidate should bring a NAAB accredited degree, a strong portfolio, and solid knowledge of construction detailing and building materials. You will lead projects and work with principals across all phases, using BIM documentation

Qualifications

• NAAB accredited architecture degree required.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong design conceptualization and professional visualization skills.
• Strong knowledge of building construction, detailing, and materials/systems.
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and work independently.
• Focus on sustainability, accessibility, and code compliance in design solutions.
• Flawless written and oral communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects independently and collaborate on large-scale projects as part of a team.
• Work directly with studio principals through all project phases on a wide variety of project types.
• Prepare documentation with BIM software (Vectorworks) as a necessity.

DeOld Andersen Architecture is seeking a full-time architect with 3-6 years of professional experience. DAA is an architecture and design partnership based in Omaha, Nebraska. Our projects include commercial, residential, and institutional work and have ranged from pocket parks and public spaces; public school renovations and building additions; strategic planning and programming; design for the workplace; rehabilitation of historic buildings; single family and multifamily residences; and speculative research projects. Our interests lie in finding design opportunities through probing and learning from everyday and ordinary conditions. Understanding convention allows us to discover and develop new forms, acting as a prompt for more meaningful experiences for the everyday habitation of spaces. Our studio culture is collaborative, hard-working, and nimble.

The Ideal Candidate Should Have
