Job summary

Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber is seeking a Project Architect in Grand Rapids, MI. You will collaborate with the design team on programming, design development, and construction documents, coordinating with engineers and outside consultants.

The role includes leading construction administration and mentoring junior staff. The position requires a Master or Bachelor of Architecture from an accredited program, with 5+ years of experience preferred and licensure a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with Revit required or strongly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Project Architect

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Employment Type: Full-Time

Working with our Architectural team, you will collaborate with a variety of multidisciplinary professionals on several different projects.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with the design team during programming and conceptual phases.
• Prepare design development and construction documents.
• Coordinate with in-house engineers and outside consultants.
• Develop architectural technical specifications.
• Lead construction administration effort including observation, RFI and submittal review.
• Assist with departmental duties such as updating technical standards and mentoring of entry level architectural staff.

What We're Looking For

• Master of Architecture or Bachelor of Architecture Degree from an accredited university.
• 5+ years of experience, preferred.
• Licensure preferred.
• Experienced in developing projects using Revit.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and BSD Spec Link is a bonus.
• Must possess good written and verbal communication skills, and strong organizational skills.
• Very detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible.
• Ability to work well with others under demanding deadline situations.
