Goody Clancy, a Boston-based education design firm, seeks a Project Architect to contribute to design and delivery from conception through construction. You will work with principals, designers, and external partners to advance project goals while upholding high design and documentation standards.
The position reports to Principals and offers growth, learning opportunities, and exposure to a range of new-construction, renewal, and preservation projects.
Goody Clancy seeks a Project Architect to join our collaborative and mission-driven team. As a Boston-based education design firm, we partner with institutions on a variety of new-construction, renewal, and preservation projects to create environments where people are inspired to research, connect, strive, and wonder. Project Architects actively engage in all project phases and are given many opportunities for growth and continued learning. The best candidate for this position will have experience and/or a demonstrated interest in education projects, and a familiarity in historic preservation/building renovations is a plus. We are looking for creative, collaborative, and motivated professionals who are driven by a belief in the power of design to advance discovery, community, and opportunity.
In this role, you will contribute to the full design and delivery process, supporting the development of thoughtful, high‑quality architectural solutions. You will collaborate closely with project leaders, designers, technical staff, and external partners to advance project goals and uphold strong design and documentation standards. Your work will span conceptual design through construction documents, including technical detailing, coordination, site observations, and research-informed planning. You will also engage directly with clients and consultants, representing the firm with professionalism and design clarity.
