Atlas, a leader in environmental and infrastructure consulting, is seeking a Project Arborist in Seattle to support transportation, utility, and infrastructure projects. You will perform tree inventories, CRZ evaluations, preservation planning, and permit support, coordinating with engineers and stakeholders.

Ideal candidates bring ISA Arborist certification, 3+ years of arboricultural experience, strong technical writing, and proficiency with GIS tools.

Qualifications

ISA Certified Arborist credential is required.
3+ years of arboricultural assessments experience on infrastructure projects.
Experience developing and monitoring tree protection BMPs during construction.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineers, environmental scientists and project managers to develop and implement tree protection and mitigation strategies.
Prepare technical reports, tree retention plans and permit applications per local/state/federal regs.
Utilize GIS skills to communicate findings to clients and stakeholders.
Conduct pre- and post-construction site reviews and arborist compliance inspections.
Provide field direction for root pruning, tree protection fencing, and other BMPs.
Review grading and utility plans for impacts to retained trees.
