City of Seattle’s SDOT seeks an Arborist within the Right of Way and Urban Forestry division to plan, protect, and manage trees affected by transportation projects. You’ll oversee plan reviews, conduct risk assessments, manage GIS inventories, and respond to public inquiries while guiding field staff.
Strong candidates will have ISA arborist credentials, TRAQ, and experience reading engineering drawings, with a focus on protecting trees during construction and coordinating with contractors.

SDOT is excited to announce a new Arborist opportunity within our Right of Way and Urban Forestry division. This position serves as a technical expert in the planning, protection, and management of trees affectd by transportation projects within the public right-of-way (ROW). This position oversees plan review and construction; performs tree risk assessments and appraisals; manages tree inventory data; and tracks the performance of trees on transportation projects. This position also responds to public inquiries; participates in community outreach; provides training and guidance to construction and field staff.

The full salary range for this position is $58.51 - $68.03 per hour.
