Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Project Coordinator to support senior project managers by delivering artifacts, assembling teams, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion. This role involves hybrid work with on-site presence 3–4 days per week and a focus on effective communication and risk management.

The ideal candidate will have experience with project management tools, Smartsheet, and Workday, plus strong Excel skills and a CAPM/PMP is a plus.

Job description

This is a hybrid position requiring an on-site presence 3 to 4 days per week. Please note that the number of days on-site can increase based on business needs.

Scope:

Under direct supervision, support and coordinate projects for senior members of the project management team. Deliver specific project artifacts, as directed by the Program Manager. Assemble project team, assign individual responsibilities, and develop schedule to ensure timely completion of project.

Essential Functions:

• Build and maintain project schedule. Produce weekly status reports. Execute on deliverables as directed by Project Managers.
• Coordinate and schedule project related meetings to resolve risks, issues, 6or requests for scope change. Capture and publish project meeting minutes.
• Maintain collaboration site and artifact repositories, including risks and issue lists.
• Submit and track project purchase requests. Update resource assignments and allocations in WorkDay.
• Onboard third-party resources to specific projects.
• Continuously learn and research new techniques and methodologies to solve project-related issues.
• Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with project financials, invoice review & approval, and purchase orders
• Maintain and update Smartsheets and dashboards
• Cross team communication and collaboration
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication and follow up on the action items skills
• Experience in Smartsheet and dashboards preferred
• Workday experience is a plus but not required

Minimum Qualifications:

• Coursework toward Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with project management tools and methodology.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 years of project management experience in a project management, project coordinator or project analyst role.
• CAPM/PMP or similar certification.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
• Experience with Agile Methodology.
• Demonstrated ability to lead or host presentations and facilitate meetings.
