• Balance timesheets and enter employee time daily into systems.
• Perform payroll processing for the business unit.
• Invoicing and supporting billing submissions with backup documentation.
• Track project costs through multiple reporting methods.
• Prepare client reports such as cost reports and daily headcounts.
• Ability to purchase construction materials as needed for a job site.

Job description

We are currently seeking a

We are currently seeking a Project Accounting Specialist, responsible for a variety of accounting duties in a routine and recurring nature. Positions typically involve performance of time entry, per diem allotment, check distribution, third party allocation, purchasing responsibilities and invoicing of client. The Position will require a working familiarity with general accounting functions and standard operating procedures in the Piping, Mechanical, and Construction Industries.

Responsibilities

• Completes project setup for a variety of project types (LS, T&M, Unit Rate)
• Accurately balance timesheets and data entry of employee’s time daily into systems.
• Perform complete payroll process for the business unit.
• Primary point of contact for employees and site managers questions with regards to time/pay policies and guidelines.
• Generates invoices and supports the billing submittal process to include preparation of backup documentation and submittal into WEB based systems.
• Must be a critical thinker and able to develop solutions of their own to solve problems.
• Ability to purchase construction materials as needed for a job site.
• Must be able to track ongoing cost of projects through multiple/reporting methods.
• Completes client reporting such as cost reports, daily headcounts, etc.
• Comprehension and understanding of the client contract pertinent to the job assignment.
• Ability to supervise and delegate other workers in a field setting.
• Must be able to accept instructions/delegation and perform in a fast paced, high-pressure setting.
• Must be able to use discretionary authority while working.
• Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license and a clear motor vehicle driving record.
• Must be able to clear a national criminal background check.
• Must pass the initial drug screen and random screens thereafter.

Good Communication And Interpersonal Skills Required.

• Must possess excellent computer skills in all MS Suite applications.
• Detail orientated work requires a high degree of confidentiality.
• Require thorough knowledge of standard JVIC office practices and procedures.
• Requires thorough knowledge of all office machines and equipment.
• Must be able to pass an advanced Skills Assessment test issued at initial interview.

• Must have the ability to lift and transport up to 45 lbs.
• Must be willing to travel.
• Should have knowledge of client systems; Track, Ariba, CMDS, etc.

Qualifications

College graduate, with a bachelor’s degree from a state accredited university in either Business Administration or Accounting preferred. or

Five (5) plus years working experience, in a Project Accounting/Administrative position within the Piping, Mechanical or Construction Industries.
