Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a project accountant to manage project accounting activities within a business unit and support day-to-day financial management for assigned projects.

You will ensure accurate reporting, monitor budgets and billings, prepare financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses, and collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to drive financial health and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5-7 years of experience in project accounting, financial management, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience coordinating work or leading project accounting activities.

Responsibilities

• Manages and coordinates project accounting activities within the business unit while supporting performance and development of project accounting personnel.
• Processes and reviews project-related owner invoices, project costs, and owner and trade payments to ensure timely, accurate financial transactions.
• Reviews project financial records, including budgets, costs, commitments, and billings, to maintain financial accuracy and alignment with budgets.
• Prepares and reviews project financial reports, forecasts, and variance analysis for project teams and leadership.
• Collaborates with project managers and cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and maintain accurate project financial information.
• Ensures compliance with internal accounting policies, controls, and standards across project financial activities.
• Supports development and coordination of project accounting personnel within the business unit.
