Job summary

IllTip is seeking a detail-minded accountant to manage project finances remotely. You will handle billing, collections, cash application, and month-end reporting across client accounts, collaborating with operations and customer finance teams.

The role requires strong Excel, experience with ERP systems, and an ability to meet tight deadlines while ensuring accuracy in project accounting and revenue recognition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or finance (accounting or finance preferred).
• Two to five years as a corporate staff accountant.
• Experience using ERP systems and their reporting tools.
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex models and functions across worksheets.
• Understanding of project accounting, revenue recognition and the link between project financials and the general ledger.
• Strong reconciliation, analytical and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain project records, checking supporting contract documents against billing requirements
• Prepare time and materials, milestone and fixed fee invoices in line with contract terms
• Track receivables, reconcile hours and expenses, and follow up with customer accounts payable teams on payment
• Post cash receipts, apply payments, and process discounts and adjustments
• Support month-end revenue reconciliation, project profitability reporting and annual audit requests
• Review expense reports and vendor invoices allocated to assigned projects
