Job summary

B&A is seeking a Project Accountant to support Celestar's Finance & Accounting Department. The role may be based in McLean, VA, Huntsville, AL, or Tampa, FL, and involves handling project accounts, invoices, time sheets, and reporting. A strong foundation in accounting and proficiency with ERP systems are required.

The position emphasizes accuracy, collaboration, and adherence to contracts, with opportunities to contribute to government filings and project profitability analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up project accounts in the accounting system to track financial transactions accurately.
• Maintain records of contracts, change orders, and other project documents.
• Authorize access to project accounts for authorized personnel and ensure security of financial data.
• Review and approve supplier invoices related to projects.
• Review and approve time sheets for project labor cost allocation.
• Review and approve overhead charges and ensure proper cost allocation.
• Monitor project accounts and report variances to management.
• Collaborate with receivables to address unpaid contract billings.
