Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Project Accountant with strong experience in AEC accounting to manage project financials and invoicing.

You will support multiple Project Managers, ensure project setups are accurate, and monitor costs against contracts. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, 3–5 years of related experience, and excels in Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, including client invoicing and project billing.
• Experience with CPFF, T&M, and FFP contract types.
• Procas experience and strong Excel proficiency.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review owner contracts to understand billing requirements.
• Assist Project Managers with owner billings and job costing.
• Support Project Managers with accounting queries and cost reconciliation.
• Ensure projects are set up and maintained in the accounting system.
• Review and process vendor and subcontractor invoices for timely payment.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and accruals.
• Communicate with Owners, PMs, and accounting team clearly.
• Assist with audits and internal controls.
