Job summary

Hermanson Company is seeking a Finance professional to partner with the project team, supporting audits, A/R, cash flow, and job cost for GMP contracts. You will maintain contract financials, forecast, and project profitability while ensuring accurate billings and timely closeouts.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, GAAP knowledge, and strong Excel skills. A Bachelor’s in accounting is preferred. This role offers growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• GAAP knowledge and ability to create and read financial statements.
• Experience with construction accounting and project cost reporting.
• Familiarity with contract language and using contracts to maximize profitability.
• Strong command of Excel and MS Office.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preparation and review of billing information for completeness and adequacy.
• Complete monthly reconciliation and forecast for GMP contracts.
• Maintain accurate contract and billed/substantiated amounts by project.
• Assist in project audits and liaise with client teams.
• Support project managers with cost budgets, change orders, and reporting.
• Provide project cost reporting and flag budget overruns to the team.
