Job summary

Design Group, part of Barry-Wehmiller, seeks a Project Accountant to support capital projects, manage project revenues, costs, and margins, and provide finance oversight across regional offices. You will work with leaders and teams to ensure GAAP compliance and accurate forecasting.

Qualifications

• Relevant financial or accounting experience (preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Working knowledge of equipment procurement and financial processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the financial gatekeeper for project revenues, costs, and margins.
• Provide project finance support, oversight, and analysis to local offices and the region.
• Ensure GAAP-compliant project set-up and forecasts.
• Review and analyze project forecasts; input finalized forecasts into EMS system.
• Prepare, review, and issue client invoices; support timely collections.
• Track project labor and expenses; advise on budget variances and recommendations.
• Assist month-end close and analysis of KPIs and business trends.
