Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. (MSG) in Michigan is seeking a Project Accountant to manage invoicing, contract data, and project budgets in a fast-paced professional services environment.

You will partner with Project Managers and Principals, maintain Deltek Vantagepoint project records, and assist with receivables, payables and change orders while ensuring accuracy and deadlines. MSG offers a robust benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
• 3+ years accounting experience; Architecture or Engineering background preferred.
• Construction or professional service firm experience considered.
• Proficiency with Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint, Excel and Word.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Invoicing in compliance with corporate policies.
• Maintain contract information including client and subcontractor agreements; collaborate with PMs & Principals on budgets and contract data.
• Setup and maintenance of projects in Deltek Vantagepoint.
• Track monthly invoices, change orders, and additional service requests; may require visiting other offices.
• Assist Project Managers with accounts receivable/payable and collections.
• Collaborate with clients and subcontractor accounting departments.
• Other accounting responsibilities may include accounts payable and unit entry.
