Job summary

Builtech Services, LLC is seeking a Project Accountant to join a fast-paced, team-oriented environment in the United States. This role owns billing for projects, reviews sub contractor pay apps, and maintains comprehensive project accounting records using Sage 300 and Procore.

The ideal candidate has 1-5 years in project accounting, a degree in Accounting/Finance/Business, strong Excel and communication skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Project accounting or construction accounting experience preferred.
• 1-5 years of project accounting experience.
• Experience with construction billing, pay applications, lien waivers, contracts, change orders, schedules of values, and job cost accounting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience with Sage 300 and Procore.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly billing cycle for assigned projects, including billing packages, approvals, supporting documentation, and submission readiness.
• Review subcontractor pay applications, lien waivers, sworn statements, and backup documentation for accuracy, completeness, and payment readiness.
• Resolve billing discrepancies, missing documentation, approval delays, waiver exceptions, and pending change order issues.
• Maintain project accounting records, including contracts, change orders, schedules of values, billing records, lien waivers, and project files.
• Serve as the accounting contact for assigned projects, coordinating with project teams, subcontractors, owners, title companies, and accounting staff.
• Maintain accurate project financial information in Sage 300, Procore, and company systems; support reporting, job cost review, closeout, and process improvement initiatives.
