Job summary

Ceres Caribe, based in Puerto Rico, seeks a detail-oriented Project Accountant to manage financials for disaster recovery and civil construction projects. This role focuses on job costing, billing, cost tracking, and audit readiness across active projects.

You will collaborate with Finance, Project Managers, Operations, Procurement, and subcontractors to ensure accurate data, timely invoicing, and strong cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years in project or construction accounting.
• Experience with cost tracking, invoicing, and financial documentation.
• Proficiency in Viewpoint Vista or similar ERP system.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Support project accounting, billing, and financial reporting for assigned projects.
• Track costs across labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate project records and supporting documents.
• Assist with WIP, forecasts, and month-end close.
• Review invoices and vendor statements for accuracy.
• Coordinate with project teams to resolve cost coding issues.
