Job summary

Centuri is seeking a Project Accountant to monitor project progress, investigate variances and ensure timely billings and collections. You will interact with Project Managers on contract changes and records, while coordinating with receivables and leadership to optimize profitability.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance and 2+ years of project accounting, with 3+ years in billing. Office-based, US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of project accounting experience
• 3+ years of billing and receivables experience
• Detailed knowledge of project contracts and change orders

Responsibilities

• Maintain project records and communicate with Project Managers on contract documents, change orders and billing
• Review and maintain time sheets, invoices, expenses, and project assets
• Investigate variances and submit variance reports to leadership
• Prepare reports on project profitability
• Monitor and report on project budgets
• Create all project-related billings to customers
• Research opportunities to maximize customer billing
• Coordinate with receivables staff on unpaid billings
• Respond to requests for more detail from customers
• Prepare government reports and tax returns related to projects
• Assist auditors with information as needed
• Perform other tasks as requested by leadership
