Aston Carter is seeking a Construction Project Accountant for a Seattle, WA, onsiteContract-to-Hire role supporting a growing public works portfolio. The pay range is $36.00-$43.00 per hour with parking and long-term career potential.

The role partners with Project Managers and Operations to ensure financial success across multiple projects, handling AP/AR, payroll reporting, job costing, progress billings, audits, and general ledger activities using JD Edwards, Textura, Procore, and Excel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction accounting experience.
• Experience with AP/AR, job costing, progress billing, lien releases, and public works payroll.
• ERP experience with JD Edwards or similar systems; proficient in Excel and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage high-volume Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
• Process union payroll and certified payroll reporting.
• Perform job costing, project reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Review progress billings, retention documentation, and lien releases.
• Assist with audits, journal entries, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with project teams to monitor financial performance.
• Utilize JD Edwards, Textura, Procore, and Excel for project accounting tasks.
• Handle subcontractor payment processing and public works reporting requirements.

What You'll Do

As a key member of the accounting team, you'll partner closely with Project Managers and Operations teams to ensure the financial success of multiple construction projects.

Responsibilities include:

What We're Looking For
