With a strong focus on private-sector projects, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality work in complex, fast-paced environments. Experience working for a commercial general contractor, particularly in managing high-tech, manufacturing, tenant improvement or life science projects—is essential to success in this role.

We are seeking an experienced Project Accountant with construction or project-based accounting experience to be responsible for the financial administration of assigned construction projects from start-up through closeout. • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable for assigned projects
  • Set up new projects and cost codes in the accounting system
  • Monitor project costs, billing, receivables, and overall financial performance.
  • Process subcontract agreements, change orders, and purchase orders
  • Reconcile project-related accounts and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist project managers with financial reporting and cost analysis
  • Track retention, lien releases, and insurance compliance documents
  • Prepare project financial reports and forecasts
  • Maintain accurate project accounting records and documentation
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients regarding financial matters
  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, general ledger, and account reconciliations.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and maintain cash-flow forecasts and assist with budgeting and financial planning.
  • Coordinate payroll accounting and the accounting/reconciliation of 401(k) contributions.
  • Maintain banking relationships and reconcile bank and credit accounts.
  • Coordinate with the company's CPA, insurance providers, financial institutions, and other outside professionals.
  • Maintain subcontractor and vendor financial documentation, including W-9s and insurance certificates.
