Job summary

CFS in Raynham, MA is seeking a Project Accountant to join its Construction Finance & Accounting team. The role partners with Project Managers, Operations, and Finance to support projects from setup through closeout, ensuring accuracy in budgeting, billing, and cost control.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of project accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with AIA billing, job costing, and revenue recognition.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project accounting experience.
• Construction industry experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of AIA billing, job costing, revenue recognition, retainage, and lien waivers.
• Strong Excel skills; Sage, Procore, or TimberScan experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, job costs, and monthly projections.
• Prepare owner billings, including AIA G702/G703.
• Manage retainage, lien waivers, and subcontractor compliance.
• Review and cost-code invoices and resolve discrepancies.
• Support project forecasting, audits, reconciliations, and closeout.
