Job summary

Tutor Perini Corporation is seeking a Project Accountant to join our Manhattan Jail project site in New York City. The role covers payroll, accounts payable, subcontract administration, and cost-tracking within our construction project teams.

Responsibilities include processing new hire documentation, time card data, invoicing, accruals, and maintaining subcontract files with MBE/WBE documentation. Strong Excel and JD Edwards/Procore experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, writing, spelling and grammar skills.
• Ability to discuss details with cross-functional and multi-level teams.
• Notary public or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• Intermediate MS Word and Excel proficiency.
• Experience with automated project costing and accounting systems (JD Edwards, Procore).

Responsibilities

• Payroll processing for new hire documentation and craft time cards.
• Maintain union stamp inventory and distribute stamps weekly.
• Prepare invoices for SWAC and other security clearance agencies.
• Compile certified payroll and monthly EEO reports.
• Accounts payable and cost tracking for job sites.
• Subcontract administration and file maintenance at jobsite.
• Track MBEs/WBEs and maintain subcontractor records.
• Ensure job cost coding and scrap material processing per policy.
