ITAC Solutions is partnering with a rapidly growing client in Alabama to establish a new project accounting role focused on financial visibility, controls, and decisive business insights as the company scales.

You will review project data, support managers with inquiries, ensure contract compliance, and prepare cost reports while enhancing budgeting processes and cost controls. This role offers direct hire with room to grow within a collaborative leadership team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• Project accounting or cost accounting background.
• Construction, utility, or related project-based industry experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, compliance, and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• ERP experience; JD Edwards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze project financial data, budgets, invoices, payables, and receivables.
• Support project managers with accounting inquiries, reporting, and financial issue resolution.
• Monitor contract requirements, invoicing, revenue recognition, and project compliance.
• Prepare project status reporting, cost controls, projections, and variance analysis.
• Maintain contract documentation, budgets, cost estimates, and monthly cost reports.
• Partner with project teams to improve financial visibility and decision-making.
• Support internal standards, policies, procedures, and special projects.

Compensation

• Up to $90,000 annually, DOE
