Talentify is seeking a Project Accountant to manage the financial lifecycle of multiple engineering, consulting, and project-based initiatives. The role partners with project managers and technical teams to oversee billing, contract administration, budgeting, collections, and financial reporting.
You will maintain project budgets, track variances, generate financial reports, and ensure accurate invoicing aligned with contract terms and milestones.
The Project Accountant supports the financial management of multiple engineering, consulting, and project-based initiatives. This role serves as a key partner to project managers and technical teams by overseeing project billing, contract administration, budgeting, collections, and financial reporting. The Project Accountant manages client invoicing, maintains contract documentation, tracks project budgets, analyzes financial performance, and helps resolve financial issues that may impact project delivery. The position also provides backup support for accounts payable, timesheet review, and expense processing while working independently and collaborating closely with operational leaders and technical staff.
This role is based onsite, with an eventual hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two days remote each week. The work environment centers on collaboration with project managers, operational leaders, and technical teams across engineering and consulting projects. The position offers exposure to large-scale, complex project work and the opportunity to build expertise in project accounting, contract management, and financial operations. The role is fast-paced and deadline-driven, with a strong focus on accuracy, responsiveness, and professional communication, and provides opportunities to mentor junior team members and expand leadership skills
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth Meeting, PA.
The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $41.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
