The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance with 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction. Procore and Viewpoint proficiency, plus strong Excel skills, are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor project job costs, ensuring accurate expense coding, cost allocation, and reconciliations
• Assist with project budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of cost variances to support profitability
• Prepare and process project billing (AIA, progress, and T&M invoices), while managing retainage and revenue recognition
• Review and process subcontractor and vendor invoices, track receivables, and support collections activities
• Analyze project financial performance and assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting
• Support contract compliance, change order tracking, and adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements
• Partner with project managers, estimators, and operations teams to provide financial insights and project support

GARNEY Project Accountant position is available at Garney. What You Will Be Doing
