Job summary

Genesee A&B, LLC is seeking a Progressive Die Tooling Specialist to prepare tooling and fixtures, diagnose tooling issues at the press, and collaborate with engineers to refine prints. You will maintain tool room organization, requisition spare parts, and participate in continuous improvements to boost quality and throughput.

The role requires 3+ years in tool and die and a Certified Tool and Die Maker or equivalent, with CAD proficiency and good communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Tool & Die maker experience.
• Certified Tool and Die Maker or equivalent relevant experience.
• Clear communication and strong listening skills.
• Ability to read prints and interpret tooling changes.
• Willingness to learn simple electronics for sensor programming.

Responsibilities

• Execute the tool room schedule so production tooling/equipment is ready to meet customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve die/tooling problems at the presses.
• Assist on production equipment to maintain uptime.
• Requisition supplies and spare parts for the tool room and dies; keep areas organized.
• Collaborate with outside tradespeople as required.
• Read and interpret prints for tooling modifications, accuracy, and enhancements.
• Work with Engineers to update prints reflecting changes.
• Perform assigned preventive maintenance.

You prep dies and fixtures so the stamping presses hit customer deadlines. On the floor, you diagnose tooling issues at the press, collaborate with engineers to refine prints, and carry out assigned preventive maintenance.
