Responsibilities

• Provides direct care focusing on personal hygiene and comfort for patients.
• Assists with admission including weight, vital signs, and room orientation.
• Helps with patient discharge tasks and transports belongings when needed.
• Participates in patient care, vital signs, intake/output, and data collection.
• Recognizes and reports changes in patient condition to the nurse.
• Mentors new staff when required.
• Transports medications following policy and ensures security.
• Maintains supplies and equipment on the unit.
• Transports patients following safety policies.
• Processes written orders and flags STAT/urgent orders to care providers.
