Job summary

VCU Health is seeking energetic, safety-focused Clinical Nurse I-III candidates for the Progressive Care unit in Richmond, VA. You will collaborate with the health care team to provide age-appropriate care, follow physician orders, and contribute to an integrated plan of care while developing leadership skills at the unit level.

Responsibilities include accurate medication administration, documentation, and coordinating with the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate Degree from a nursing program recognized by the state Board of Nursing.
• All RNs without a Bachelor’s degree must enroll in an approved RN to BSN program within two years of start date and complete within five years.
• Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligibility or compact state.

Responsibilities

• Follows physician/licensed independent provider orders.
• Delivers and documents direct, age-specific care according to medical orders and an integrated plan of care.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for interactions or incompatibilities.
• Organizes work and supervises others (RN's, LPN's, Care Partners, Unit Secretaries) as applicable.

Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred)
