Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing.
• Active Alabama Board of Nursing License.
• BLS obtained within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Preferred Education: BSN.
• Preferred Experience: 1 to 2 years of step-down or med/surg experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe therapeutic care for the progressive care patient in a holistic and systematic way.
• Incorporates differences into the provision of care.
• Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum to include patient and family education.
• Administers medications according to standard nursing practice.
• Ensures improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development.
