Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas seeks a Registered Nurse to oversee patient care within a professional practice model. You will perform patient assessments, recognize health issues, create care plans, and monitor responses to treatment.

You will educate patients and families, document learning needs, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver safe, effective care. You must follow the Texas Nursing Practice Act and delegate tasks based on patient condition and team competencies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Specialized field of study in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs; create, implement and evaluate care plans.
• Build relationships with patients and families; manage discomfort and stay professional to foster therapeutic connections.
• Create care plans reflecting values to aid in resolving issues.
• Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members to enable informed health choices; document learning needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues and the community to create a care plan; delegate tasks carefully and follow up.
• Use diverse problem‑solving strategies; prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery.
• Contribute to peers' development and demonstrate a commitment to community service.
