Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina in Columbia seeks a Registered Nurse II to provide individualized, goal-directed patient care during night shifts, using the nursing process and collaborating with the care team to achieve safe, effective outcomes. Minimum is an Associate Degree in Nursing with SC RN licensure; BLS and ACLS are required for most units.

Schedule is 36 hours across three 12‑hour shifts per week, every other weekend.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in South Carolina or a compact state.
• Current BLS; ACLS required for most areas.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care using nursing process.
• Collaborate with health care team to deliver safe, effective care.
• Assist in patient and family education and discharge planning.
