Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN seeks a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care within the RN scope, using therapeutic communication and an interdisciplinary approach. The role supports the hospital's mission and ensures a safe therapeutic environment.

The incumbent acts as a charge nurse, assigns staff based on patient need and acuity, and serves as a clinical resource.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse from accredited school of nursing.
• Current Licensure with KY Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• One year of clinical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess plans and evaluate patient care needs and carry out physician orders.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, cleanse wounds, monitor vital signs.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition using computerized systems.
• Educate patients and families as part of a Multidisciplinary Care Planning team.
