Job summary

University Health Truman Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Nurse RN for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to join our inpatient team in Kansas City, MO. This full-time role works a 36-hour week with a 6:45am-7:15pm schedule, focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive environment.

You'll assess patients, plan and implement care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and participate in education, research, and program evaluation.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Missouri RN license.
• Current BCLS certification.
• BSN or equivalent preferred.
• RN specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients based on their diagnosis and care needs.
• Plan, perform, delegate, and evaluate nursing care using your expert skills.
• Work closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes.
• Participate in committees, program evaluations, research, and education.
• Supervise and mentor students.
• Stay compliant with the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and all organizational and regulatory requirements.
