Parkland Medical Center is hiring a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with providers, the RN will provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care and advocate for patients to enhance their experience.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 30 days of start date.
• BLS certification is required.
• RN licensure and active state credentials.
• Associate degree in nursing or higher required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting changes.
• Perform procedures or functions as ordered by medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the medical record.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
