Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Step-Down Unit to provide high-quality care to complex patients. You will monitor patient conditions, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.

New grads are welcome, and advancement opportunities exist through a supportive orientation program and clinical ladder pathways. This on-site role offers a comprehensive benefits package and daily pay options.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Licensure: RN Indiana License. CPR certification on hire or able to attain within 60 days.
• Experience: New grad RN's welcome.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients with higher acuity needs including cardiac drips, post-op recovery, telemetry, respiratory support, and more
• Monitor, assess, and respond to patient conditions in real-time
• Collaborate with providers, therapists, pharmacists, and fellow nurses to deliver coordinated care
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health promotion
• Document assessments, medications, and interventions in our EHR system with accuracy and timeliness
