Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, LA is hiring a Progressive Care Registered Nurse for the PCU unit. The RN coordinates high-quality, patient-centered care with pre-operative and post-operative focus under medical direction.

Expect responsibilities such as admission assessments, documenting care, administering medications, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of cardiac and medical-surgical care. ACLS/BCLS within 30 days and RN licensure are required.

Qualifikationen

• ACLS and BCLS certifications must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN licensure is required to practice.
• RN Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or Associate Degree in nursing is required.

Aufgaben

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift; report changes.
• Perform procedures or functions as ordered by medical providers.
• Document care in the patient record promptly and thoroughly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
